The stamping machine usually features a fixed section as well as a movable
section. Fixed sections use clamp plates and screws to join to the worktable for
the punch press which is also known as the lower die. The movable parts are
secured to the slider of the punch press, commonly known as the upper die. The
upper die moves between up and down using the sliders to continue stamping
work.
The various components can be separated into 5 categories based on it's purpose:
Working components
The working stamping die manufacturers are the elements that stamp work. They
directly create the sheet metal component deformation and separation, then you
can get the work piece for stamping. Like punch inserts, die inserts,
punch-matrix etc.
Pilot components
Pilot components are used to control the direction of the raw material's feed
and pitch, and also ensure that the raw material sheet is at the correct
stamping die location. Such as pilot pin, locating pin, guide pin, dowel pin,
dowel plate, side clamp plate etc.
Components for material presses, stripping and lifting:
These parts are used to ensure that the stamping workpiece and scraps can be
removed from the tool after each stamping finish. This helps in production the
next time around. For example: Stripper plate, lifting pin, scrap cutting
inserts etc.
Guide components
These stamping components ensure the accurate direction of the upper die and
lower dies during relative movement. They also ensure that the inserts for the
punch and die have an even clearance. They also enhance the stamping parts
quality.
Attach and install components
These stamping die manufacturers function are joint above four kind of
stamping die components that are joined, to ensure each tool parts' relative
position are accurate and in the correct position, and make sure the tool is
installed on punch press.
But, it doesn't mean that each stamping die must have more than 5 types of
components. After the stamping tool is used for prototype or small-scale
production to reduce the time for validation and cut costs, you can be able to
simplify the stamping structure which only have working components, stripping
parts and a variety of fastening components.
Different components of stamping dies for Use
1. Guide Plate Components
The main purpose is to guide the strip of raw material to the correct
location prior to feeding it into the tool. Make the strip parallel to
tool.
2. Punch and Die Components
These are the main tools that can be used to cut drills, drilling, forming
and the bending.
The inserts are constructed from carbide material, which is hard and can be
utilized for high precision and large quantities. This could help to ensure press die components accuracy and
long-lasting longevity.
3. Stripper Plate Inserts
These tool parts are put in the stripper plates, which is used to create a
precision guide punch, easy to adjust the tool. There are three kinds of
structure that include shoulder type screw fix type double layer type. The most
popular type of structure is the shoulder type.
4. Pilot Pin and the Mis-feeder Detection Device
The purpose of the pilot pin is to place strip in the correct position prior
to tool 1 station working and mis-feeder is kind of sensor that can prevent tool
shut while miss feeding, which could shield the tools from being
damaged.
5. Main Guide Pillar and Guide Bush as well as Sub-guide Pillar and
Bush
Above stamping components, they all of them are common parts can be used to
guide the tool. Stamping dies typically require the use of the main guide post
and the pillar as an initial guide. The sub-guide posts and pillar help guide
precision. This can help ensure that all tool sets are precise.
6. Limit Bolt
The stamping die component is used to prevent damage to tools while the die's
shut-off height is not is set, which may shield tool and inserts.
7. Guide Pin
The guide pin can be used to guide the material as it is fed into mold, also
it is used for stripping the material.
8. Clamp Screw
The function of the clamp screw is to join the various components of the die
together, providing the tightest locking force, allowing the tool secure under
pressing force.
9. Plug Screw
The screw is usually paired with the spring within the tool that can restrict
spring compression under the force and also adjust the precompression of
spring's height.
10. Stripper Steer and Stripper Spring
The stripper screw is usually an the inner thread type. This is not just used to fixing the stripper plate, but can disassembly the stripper plate. The stripper spring provides enough tension and pulling force to stripper plate.
